The JOCUNDA Music, Film & Theatre Festival: The Destination for Creative Minds

The Jocunda Music, Film & Theatre Festival presents a Virtual Play Reading of THE ESCAPE written by Sean O’Leary and directed by Mario Corry on Zoom on Saturday, January 30th @ 3 PM EST. It features RON BARBA as Jake, RYAN VICTOR PIERCE as Michael, MARGARET CHAMPAGNE as Rachel and JENNIFER O’LEARY as the narrator.

The Escape centers on two men on the run, in a time of political unrest and uncertainty, who take shelter in a warehouse after killing a political figure.  They are waiting for their contact from a revolutionary group to get them money and fake passports when a mysterious woman shows up and offers to help them get away, but can they trust her?

“Having run this Zoom Play Reading Series since the pandemic began, I’ve developed directorial and visual techniques that makes our Zoom productions visually, emotionally and viscerally stimulating, something that some people haven’t always associated with the play reading format,” Van Dirk Fisher said. “And audience love the interactive and spirited Q and A that follows.”
