Bronx Native UNI G, an African-American Hip Hop Recording Artist, Whose Single PABLO Went Viral, Will Perform At The JOCUNDA MUSIC, FILM & THEATRE FESTIVAL, Friday, April 24th at 8pm in Bushwick at ARTEL
UNI G, an African-American Hip Hop
recording artist, Uni-G, lives by his life mantra – finding both peace and
liberation in his music. Born, Gabriel UniLias Adjei-Gyamfi, the Bronx native
began his rise to independent fame in 2012. Over the past eight years, Uni
reinvented his sound and stapled his position as a legitimate artist when
his single, Swerve charted nationally, and locally in 2016.
Capitalizing off the success of his release, Uni took his music on the road.
Showcasing his lyrical range and commercial appeal, Uni headlined his own US
tour, the #SwerveTour - along with Dave East, Phresher, Smoke DZA, Nitty Scott
and more. In 2018, Uni embarked on his #WTMUTour (Welcome To My Universe),
which involved notable industry names such as Steve Lobel, HipHopMike of Hot
97, and Success of Atlantic Records. That same year, Uni also released his
sophomore album, “Welcome To My Universe,” proving that his early success was
no fluke. Uni-G also had the opportunity to perform with Lupe Fiasco across
various cities to close out a remarkable year. For Uni-G, 2019 proved to be
another year of growth – landing media placements on publications such as The
Source Magazine, and The RapFest. To close out the year, Uni’s single, “Pablo”
went viral on social media as fans shared their covers of the single on
Instagram. In the new year, Uni-G’s relentless pursuit is expected to propel
him to the next level.
